I recently came across an interesting article on Social Media Examiner titled “5 Ways to Use Instagram Stories for Your Business“. It features some real action items that would certainly benefit business. I often take content like this and put my powersports industry spin on the suggestions to provide real-time actionable items. But this article had me thinking a bit deeper. By focusing on your racing marketing efforts as if they are a small business and running your program as such, greater results can be had. With that in mind here are my suggestions on 5 Ways to Use Instagram Stories for Your Racing Business.
#1: Show a “Day in the Life” of Your Racing – Training, working on your bike, traveling to events. These all make for good content for your Instagram story. As a bonus, you should genuinely integrate your sponsor’s products in these stories.
#2: Turn Your Blog Content Into Mini-articles – Are you writing a blog for your website? Do you have a website? If you don’t have one, there dozens of ways to start your website and/or blog. Take this content and re-purpose on Instagram stories.
#3: Promote, a Facebook Live Broadcast – How about a Facebook live following a moto or training session. Perhaps you can build content that shows throughout the season. Maybe a weekly Facebook Live show?
#4: Show Your Product in Action – By product I mean you. Show clips of your racing, practicing and training. Use this opportunity to provide value to your current and potential sponsors.
#5: Celebrate a Milestone – Have you won a championship? Five wins in a row. Got the holeshot? Whatever it is use Instagram stories to celebrate the fact.
