Krämer Motorcycles Announces the Debut of the 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA Prototype

Krämer Motorcycles is proud to announce its next platform of purpose-built racing machines with the debut of the 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA prototype motorcycle.

The APX platform is the third family of motorcycles for the Krämer Motorcycles lineup, and it is built around providing small-displacement riders with the high-performance machinery that they have come to expect from the Krämer brand.

The first model in the APX lineup will be Krämer APX-350 MA, which will be used in the new MotoAmerica Talent Cup series. The bike boasts over 55hp from its 350cc single-cylinder motor, and it has a racing weight of just 242 lbs.

“When we started the APX project, the brief was simple: build the ultimate lightweight racing motorcycle. With the Krämer APX-350 MA prototype, we have already realized that goal, and the package continues to improve with each testing session,” said Jensen Beeler, CEO of Krämer Motorcycles USA.

The Krämer APX-350 MA offers a bevy of race-focused features, starting with its steel-trellis chassis, which has an adjustable steering head angle, swingarm angle, and triple clamp offset.

Suited for riders of all sizes, the ergonomics of the APX-350 MA feature a wide range of adjustability, with three positions for the rearsets, nearly two inches of seat height adjustment, and a wide-degree of usable clip-on angle and distances. Made to fit the body types of racers of all ages, any rider can find a comfortable setup on the 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA.

Using State-of-the-art electronics, the Krämer APX-350 MA prototype is powered by a Mectronik MKE7 racing ECU, which in MotoAmerica-trim will come with adjustable engine-braking control and tailorable throttle maps. This package is mated to an ECUMASTER dash, provided by Solo Engineering, that displays critical bike information as well as a GPS-powered lap timer. Compatible with several data-logging solutions, the Krämer APX-350 MA is a generation ahead of comparable talent-cup machinery.

The MotoAmerica paddock will get its first glimpse of the 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA prototype on the track at the Circuit of the Americas round in Texas this coming weekend, with demonstration laps happening on Saturday and Sunday with Krämer’s test rider Finn Chapman onboard.

The Krämer APX-350 MA prototype will also be on display at the NJMP MotoAmerica round in October, and racing at select club racing events during the winter season.

Pricing for the 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA motorcycles is set at $22,495 MSRP. Deposits for orders will need to be secured by November 1, 2024, in order to guarantee delivery in time for the start of the 2025 MotoAmerica Talent Cup season.

Future APX platform machines will be announced by Krämer Motorcycles, starting in 2025, with additional models aimed more towards track day and club racers.

Engine

The 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA uses a 350cc single-cylinder engine sourced from the KTM 350 EXC-F enduro motorcycle. The standard 42mm throttle body has been replaced with a 50mm unit that incorporates a ride-by-wire throttle system that has been developed by Mectronik, in collaboration with Krämer Motorcycles.

With a central air duct on the front bodywork, the APX-350 MA breathes through a sealed airbox that features a ram-air intake. As a result, the Krämer APX-350 MA makes 55hp before taking into account the ram-air effect, with peak torque reaching 27 lbs•ft.

The prototype configuration of the revvy motor brings peak power around 10,700 rpm, while keeping a broad usable powerband all the way to the 12,500 rpm redline.

Electronics

Setting a new standard for small-displacement motorcycles, the Krämer APX-350 MA comes with a state-of-the-art electronics package, with a Mectronik MKE7 ECU being the cornerstone of the racing package.

Complying with MotoAmerica regulations, the APX-350 MA prototype is limited to have only adjustable engine-brake control, adjustable throttle maps, and a pit lane speed limiter within the ECU riders aids. A quickshifter system provides for precise upshifts, and has an auto-blip feature for rapid clutchless downshifts.

The Mectronik ECU also allows for the use of a wide-band oxygen sensor, which measures the burn efficiency of the combustion chamber through the exhaust pipe, and changes the fuel mapping in real-time to ensure maximum power in all conditions.

The bike comes pre-wired for potentiometers for front and rear suspension travel measurements, and is ready for several data-acquisition packages.

Interfacing with the rider on the Krämer APX-350 MA is an ECUMASTER ADU5 dash from Solo Engineering, with a color TFT screen. The dash is capable of showing critical bike information, along with best and predictive lap time information while on the track.

Chassis

The Krämer APX-350 MA continues the company’s use of 25CrMo4 chromoly steel for its trellis-design frame, as the alloy provides the ideal stiffness and torsional rigidity for racing use.

Knowing that every rider is different, adjustment points can be made for the swingarm angle, steering-head angle, triple clamp offset, seat height, rearset position, and clip-on angle and length, all of which makes for a truly customizable motorcycle that fits riders of all sizes and riding styles.

Keeping with its race-track focus, the Krämer APX-350 MA uses only fully adjustable suspension from WP Suspension, which are in full-compliance with the 2025 MotoAmerica rulebook. The front forks use an open-cartridge system based around the WP 6500 series cartridge, with a custom-fit top-cap that expands significantly the normal preload adjustment range.

The rear-shock specifications are also set by the MotoAmerica rulebook, with adjustable preload, compression, and rebound damping available. Suspension travel is 120mm, at the front and rear of the motorcycle.

Lightweight, durable, and cost-focused cast aluminum wheels are used in the Krämer APX-350 MA, with a 3” x 17” rim at the front, and a 4” x 17” rim at the rear, with Dunlop slicks mounted as standard.

The front brakes are handled by a single 320mm full-floating Moto-Master brake disc, with a radially mounted Brembo Stylema caliper mated to a Brembo radial master cylinder. The rear brakes use a 230mm full-floating rear disc, with an ultra lightweight Formula four-piston caliper.

Fairing

The Krämer APX-350 MA features a lightweight and aerodynamic set of fiberglass bodywork, which has been reinforced with carbon/aramid fiber at key mounting points.

The front fairing intake helps funnel pressurized air into the airbox at high speeds, boosting the overall performance of the motorcycle.

For wet-race conditions, a rain light is mounted into the tail cap bodywork, with activation happening with the press of a handlebar button.

The bodywork ingenuity continues with a hallmark of Krämer design: the fuel cell doubling as the tail section of the motorcycle. A maximum of 3.17 gallons (12 liters) of fuel can be held in the rotationally molded plastic tank.

All 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA motorcycles will be delivered in a white gelcoat finish, to allow teams to pick and create their own racing liveries for the season.

Ordering

Pricing for the 2025 Krämer APX-350 MA is set at $22,495 MSRP. Only a limited number of bikes will be manufactured for the 2025 season, with priority given to racers in the MotoAmerica Talent Cup.

To be guaranteed a bike before the start of the season, racers and teams need to secure their deposit with Krämer Motorcycles USA by November 1, 2024. Deliveries are expected to occur in February 2025.

Full details of the Krämer APX-350 MA will be revealed on the Krämer Motorcycles USA website as the bike continues its development. Technical elements of the motorcycle are subject to change as more testing is conducted on the prototype bikes.

AMA Distributes Sound Meter Kits to Four Chartered Clubs

As part of its commitment to further educate riders about sound levels, the American Motorcyclist Association will once again distribute sound test kits to four chartered clubs across the country.

This year’s recipients of the annual AMA Sound Meter Program include the Coast Riders Motorcycle Club, Trail Riders of Southern Arizona, Coconino Trail Riders and Ocean State BMW Riders. With the sound kits provided by the program, these clubs will be able to accurately check the sound emissions of their motorcycles and institute training efforts to limit sound pollution at their events.

“With the AMA Sound Meter Program, we’re supporting and encouraging riders and clubs to take sound issues seriously and make decisions based on accurate information,” AMA Government Relations Director and Western States Representative Nick Haris said. “Phone apps and cheap meters are often unreliable and it’s important to have accurate, repeatable information prior to implementing any sound-related rules.”

The AMA Sound Meter Program, started in 2005, has awarded more than 130 sound meters and helps riders and event organizers better understand acceptable sound levels according to AMA guidelines.

The sound testing kits provided by the AMA contain a Type 2 sound meter, a tachometer, training materials, a spark-arrestor probe, personal protective equipment and a storage case.

In addition to the AMA Sound Meter Program, the AMA remains committed to supporting quieter motorcycle use and fighting against unfair sound ordinances. SW-MOTECH Expands U.S. Distribution with Parts Unlimited Partnership

Indian Motorcycle’s National Owners Ride Raises Over $114,000 for Folds of Honor

Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its recent charity ride in partnership with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing families of fallen or disabled service members and first responders with life-changing educational scholarships. Rallying its owners’ community, the event brought together hundreds of motorcyclists from across the country, garnering over 1,200 total donations for more than $114,000.

The ride, which spanned across multiple Indian Motorcycle Riders Groups across the U.S., was designed to raise funds for Folds of Honor; with every $5,000 raised accounting for one full scholarship for the families of fallen or disabled veterans and first responders. Thanks to the generous support of participants, sponsors, and local communities, Indian Motorcycle not only met but significantly surpassed its initial fundraising goal of $50,000.
