A NEW GENERATION TO EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION: DISCOVER THE BUZZ OF THE 2025 KTM SX-E 5
KTM is fully charged for the future phases of e-mobility to get youngsters rolling with their first ride on two-wheels and to sharpen their skills to the point where a READY TO RACE mentality becomes a way of life.
The foundational step has been polished, and the new 2025 KTM SX-E 5 mini cross motorcycle represents a benchmark in the industry for the commitment to quality. The KTM SX-E 5 might enable hours of fun, learning, and stimulate the early flow of adrenaline, but these bikes are not ‘toys’. This is the start of a new era for the next generation of riders and racers.
Here are six ways in which KTM is plugging-in to play with the 2025 KTM SX-E 5:
Drivetrain development
For 2025 the KTM SX-E 5 has a super-advanced fully electric, water-cooled permanent magnet motor that provides 30% more riding time compared to the previous version and peak power at 5.0 kW. The unit is dust and water proof which makes it low wearing and maintenance-free, while the integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees a direct but very controllable power delivery. The surge is good enough to guarantee exhilaration for youngsters, however it also packs enough to satisfy the demands for racing. In short, it’s a high quality and real-world READY TO RACE alternative to the petrol-powered 50 cc engine. A multifunctional instrument display shows the state and charge level of the battery, in addition to one of the six different ride maps that administer how strong and fast the potency of the drivetrain feeds through the throttle.
Frame finesse – ‘Go as you Grow’
One of the best features of the KTM SX-E 5 is the adjustable dimensions of the bike. The subframe is made of lightweight, fiberglass reinforced plastic elements, which can be mounted in different positions to suit the changing size of the junior rider. The variance window is 24.9-26.8 inches (634-682 mm) and is hiked up or slid down by easy movements with the seat and bodywork. An even lower seat height can be achieved by dropping the forks down in the triple clamps. The frame is forged from lightweight, high-strength chromium-molybdenum steel for precise agility and stability, but a new 2025 modification provides more robustness, handling, and a tougher rear shock mounting point.
WP Suspension for that factory feeling
The adult bike pedigree means the suspension equipment for the KTM SX-E 5 is formidable. A fully adjustable, upside-down WP XACT air fork with a 35 mm tube diameter and 205 mm of travel ensures comfort and confidence. The air spring fitted in the left fork leg can be adjusted perfectly to the rider’s weight using a simple air pump. The WP XACT shock absorber is also flexible (preload, rebound and compression) and linked directly to the cast swingarm, providing excellent damping performance with 193 mm of travel.
Battery bounty
The battery on the KTM SX-E 5 is constructed from 84 modern lithium-ion cells in a robust die-cast aluminum casing, harnessing energy for 907 Wh: enough for two hours of a relaxed rhythm riding or 30 minutes of hardcore throttle abuse for race conditions. An advanced battery management system administers and preserves the lifecycle of the battery.
Counting the charge
The KTM SX-E 5’s charging time has been reduced, with 0-80% capacity achievable in 45 minutes while 0-100% is possible in just 70 minutes. The external worldwide charger supplying up to 900 W can be connected to any 110- or 230-volt socket. Safety features? Of course. A rollover sensor cuts off the power in the event of a fall, while a wrist lanyard cut-off key stops the motor in the event of an uncontrollable riding scenario. Ride modes can be locked and saved with a dongle that can be found under the seat.
The perks of the parts
Outright performance is not the only benefit of the 2025 KTM SX-E 5. The motorcycle comes with a host of outstanding parts so that the bikes sit comfortably in the full all-conquering KTM SX range. Strong, aluminum alloy NEKKEN handlebars taper from 28 mm in the center to 22 mm in the bend to 18 mm in the grip, enabling the use of thinner lock-on ODI grips, engineered especially for electric drive. Also, on a theme of strength, the bike has light, black anodized, aluminum rims (12” front and 10” rear) with MAXXIS MX-ST tires for superb all-round traction across diverse terrain. Top-spec wheels are common components through the full-size KTM SX range. Another area of shared engineering is the hydraulic brake calipers and waved discs front and rear, supplied by braking experts Brembo. The design of the KTM SX-E 5 features the latest in-mold graphics, with a bold orange livery that perfectly sets off the factory-look orange frame, orange seat and race-sharpened, narrow bodywork. READY TO RACE indeed.
The new 2025 KTM SX-E 5 will be rolling off the Austria production line and available at authorized KTM dealers from November onward. For more information, visit ktm.com.

“We’re only here because of the incredible support from everyone involved – from Monster Energy to Feld Motor Sports – and, of course, the riders and production team,” said multi-Emmy-winning filmmaker Paul Taublieb, whose previous feature collaborations with Monster Energy include feature documentaries “Unchained: The Untold Story of Freestyle Motocross,” “FASTEST” and “Blink of an Eye. “This is not a history of the sport, but rather, the story of Supercross, and I’m humbled and grateful to be able to share this first screening at the great Newport Beach Film Festival.”
“Pay Dirt is a project born from a deep admiration for skill, courage and sacrifices of the incredible athletes who race Supercross, and features an all-star cast of riders including Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, Ricky Johnson, Bob Hannah, Haiden Deegan, and many others, including, speaking from prison, the man who created the sport, Michael Goodwin,” added TAUBLIEB. “Our goal was to bring their stories to life in a way that not only resonates with die-hard fans but also introduces new audiences to the world of Supercross.”

“I’ve watched Pay Dirt and I am awe-struck by the way this incredibly complex and nuanced narrative is crafted. This film touches my soul. There’s nowhere to hide in Pay Dirt – it feels like a confessional with my heroes and friends…and those whom I consider villains. That’s why I love it.”
Former Supercross rider Jimmy Button, who makes a powerful appearance in the film, added: “This movie does so much more than educate you on the sport of Supercross. Whether you’ve ever thrown your leg over a dirtbike or not, this film captivates your senses and emotions. You’ll learn something new, be moved emotionally, and come away dazzled.”
Supercross legends Brian Deegan and Haiden Deegan were equally impressed:
Brian: “Great storytelling about the incredible highs and lows of racing a dirt bike. Whether you’re a fan of dirt bikes or not, you’ll love this roller coaster ride of a film.”
Haiden: “Quite simply, a motivating documentary, so well made and so interesting. Don’t miss it.”
We look forward to sharing this first viewing of Pay Dirt with you and building anticipation for its nationwide release in January 2025.

Triumph Reveals Update Speed Twin 900
Triumph’s Speed Twin 900 is significantly updated for 2025, including a major styling refresh, a significantly upgraded chassis and extra technology.
Delivering a much more contemporary feel and effortless agility, the new Speed Twin 900 now has upside-down forks and matching sport-style mudguard and fork protectors at the front. At the rear a new fabricated aluminium swingarm and piggy-back rear suspension units are complemented by a narrower rear frame with a slimmer mudguard and compact tail-light.
These combine to deliver dynamic handling and a sportier style, while retaining the Speed Twin’s classically-inspired good looks and easy riding appeal. The timeless bench seat is now slimmer and shaped to support the rider more while cornering, while also providing greater legroom for a more spacious feel.
Powered by Triumph’s celebrated 900cc high-torque Bonneville twin engine, the Speed Twin 900 combines easy-going classic character with modern performance and efficiency, providing easily accessible torque, with 80 Nm available at 3,800rpm and an intoxicating sound.
Equipped with high-specification components, the latest rider technology and a comfortable riding position, this new model will deliver a riding experience that is more fun, effortless and addictive than before. With a premium finish, high quality materials and beautiful design details and more than 120 Genuine Triumph Accessories making it easy to customise to reflect each rider’s individual style, the new Speed Twin is an effortlessly cool contemporary classic.
Triumph’s Chief Product Officer Steve Sargent said: “This new Speed Twin 900 styling has evolved to be sleeker and more dynamic while still retaining the classic design cues that deliver that timeless style. The bike is more agile and easier to manouvre too, as we’ve made changes to the chassis and specification that all add up to make a big difference.
“From talking to our customers, we know that the enduring appeal of the Speed Twin 900 is also due to a premium specification, top-quality finish and great reliability, and a badge on the tank which owners are proud to own. Our ambition is as always, to deliver more of what riders appreciate.”
EFFORTLESSLY COOL DESIGN
The new, sportier fuel tank is deeply sculpted, with chiseled side panels and stylized throttle body covers, introducing more purposeful, dynamic lines. The engine casings are leaner, the silencer shorter and the headlight unit more compact.
The detailing on the Bonneville engine is as authentic and beautiful as ever too, and the bright machined cooling fins on the cylinder head and finned header clamps are joined by black-wrapped stainless steel exhaust headers, shorter, upswept silencers and polished end caps. This look extends to details across the bike, including a new aluminium flip-up filler cap on the tank, and a simpler design for the heel guards and footpegs.
The new Speed Twin 900 has three distinctive colour options. Riders can choose between a sporty Pure White scheme with bright blue and orange stripes on the tank, a moody Phantom Black tank, with dark grey stripes and gold accents, or a classy Aluminium Silver design with a splash of red framing the Triumph logo.
EASY AGILE RIDE
The Speed Twin 900’s capable modern chassis delivers a fun, supple and confidence-inspiring ride. High quality Marzocchi upside-down front forks, paired to twin Marzocchi piggy-back rear suspension units with preload adjustment ensures responsive handling. Mounted to a new stiffer and lighter aluminium swingarm, delivering more precise body control and a ride that is as laid back, or dynamic, as the rider desires. The slightly reduced rear wheel travel (from 120mm to 110mm) improves control without sacrificing comfort.
The new wheels are fitted with Michelin Road Classic tyres and coupled with a powerful and progressive Triumph branded four-piston radial caliper, mounted to a larger 320mm front disc, helping make the Speed Twin 900 brake and change direction even more keenly.
The riding position has been updated to be natural and now offers more legroom, with a fun and engaging feel. The bench seat has a new shape to complement the narrower rear frame, giving riders a narrower stand-over. There’s also an accessory low seat available that reduces the height by 20mm, from 780mm to 760mm, without compromising comfort.
CHARACTERFUL BONNEVILLE TWIN
The characterful 900cc Bonneville twin ensures that responsive performance is always accessible, with peak power of 65 PS at 7,500rpm, and lots of torque across the rev range; with 80 Nm available at just 3,800rpm. That performance is delivered with the efficiency and precision of a fully ride-by-wire system.
CONFIDENCE INSPIRING TECHNOLOGY
The aim was to deliver more functionality while preserving that clean, heritage-inspired design and pure riding experience. Helping to tailor that torque-laden power delivery are two riding modes, ‘Road’ and ‘Rain’, with the latter delivering a softer throttle response for a more secure feeling when riding in the wet. Both systems are now lean-sensitive – with Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control fitted as standard.
PREMIUM SPECIFICATION
The new instruments introduce greater functionality and features a large, bright LCD display for revs, speed and gear, with an integrated TFT display to provide extra information, like the rider mode. This full colour screen is compatible with the accessory heated grips, as well as the Bluetooth Connectivity module, which brings turn-by-turn navigation, and the ability to view and control phone calls and music from your phone.
Cruise Control is now also available as an accessory, providing Speed Twin riders with greater comfort and convenience, particularly on longer rides. A USB-C socket is mounted on the side of the unit too, providing convenient charging mobile devices.
With its minimalist single dial design, these new instruments help to maintain the sleek style of the Speed Twin 900 while making more riding information available, in a way that’s clear and easy to read.
The all-LED lighting system, including a slim DRL headlight, mounted on a minimalist bracket, ensures optimal visibility, and adds a contemporary touch to the bike’s classic design.
EASILY CUSTOMISABLE
Triumph’s official accessory range provides more than 120 ways for Speed Twin 900 owners to express themselves. From practical options like heated grips, or waxed cotton panniers, to parts that accentuate the classic lines or bring more of a custom vibe, there are numerous styling details can be combined to provide a different and distinctive look that ensures it stands out from the crowd.
For newer riders with an A2 licence, an accessory restrictor kit is available for the new Speed Twin 900. This offers the same signature style and performance but with restricted power, ensuring a smooth, manageable, and confidence-inspiring ride. Riders can easily convert the bike back to full power as they upgrade their licence, allowing the new Speed Twin 900 to grow with their experience.
ON THE ROAD
The new Speed Twin 900 will be available in the UK from £9,195 OTR. Customers can configure their own or find out more at triumphmotorcycles.co.uk. Bikes will be arriving in dealerships from February 2025.

Husqvarna Mobility reveals water-cooled EE 5 for 2025
Husqvarna Mobility is excited to unveil a new EE 5 for 2025. By introducing water-cooling technology to the state-of-the-art motocross machine, average battery life has increased by 30%, in addition to providing a more stable power delivery for the duration of its running time. The EE 5 is also enhanced for the new model year with scaled-down bodywork from the full-size motocross line-up and finished with distinctive graphics.
Since its very successful launch in 2019, the EE 5 has provided young riders with a smooth introduction to riding and racing motocross. Powered by a capable and highly efficient 907 Wh Li-Ion battery and 5 kW electric motor, the EE 5 rivals the performance of its 50 cc, combustion engine competition. With a choice of six ride modes, the power delivery can be easily customised to suit all rider abilities.
When the lowest mode is selected, the battery offers approximately two hours of riding time. The overall running time varies depending on the track conditions and mode selected with the least restrictive option allowing for up to 30 minutes of action. Simple recharging is assured with the worldwide charger, which can be connected to any 110 or 230-Volt socket. Once plugged in, an 80% charge can be achieved in just 45 minutes while a full recharge taking only 70 minutes.
Beyond the water-cooled motor, the EE 5 is expertly crafted with a perfectly balanced and height-adjustable chassis. By simply refitting the ergonomic bodywork and seat into the lower mounting points, reinstalling the WP shock in the alternative position, and raising the WP forks through the triple clamps, the EE 5 can be altered from its standard height of 674 mm to 626 mm. This adjustability allows shorter riders to begin riding the EE 5 in its lowest setting, and as they grow, the higher setting can be re-introduced.
Further customisation comes from the WP suspension. The shock offers 193 mm of travel and adjustable preload, high and low speed compression, and rebound to ensure riders can create a personalised set-up. Together with the 35 mm forks that offer 205 mm of travel, all youngsters can ride with comfort and confidence, even on the roughest of race tracks.
With an extensive list of quality components used to assemble the small machine, the EE 5 delivers an unrivalled on-track experience for all youngsters. Hydraulic disc brakes, a high-strength, chromium-molybdenum steel frame, NEKEN handlebars and ODI grips, and MAXXIS tyres underline the high specification of the latest EE 5.
Technical highlights
- State-of-the-art, electric motor with a peak power of 5 kW and new water cooling
- New bodywork and adjustable ergonomics
- Six different ride modes to suit a wide range of riders
- Easily rechargeable, 907 Wh Li-Ion battery
- Modern chassis and adjustable WP suspension
- Proven, race-tested components
- MAXXIS ST tyres for maximum grip on all surfaces
- NEKEN handlebars and ODI grips
Alongside the launch of the 2025 EE 5, Husqvarna Mobility is excited to offer a full range of Kids Railed Gear. The complete line-up is made from premium materials and includes a helmet, goggles, shirt, pants, and gloves, with the Flame boots, made by Sidi, creating a complete apparel set-up for all youngsters. In addition, a concise selection of Technical Accessories allows the EE 5 to be customised to suit each individual rider.
The 2025 Husqvarna EE 5 will begin to be available worldwide from now onwards at all authorised Husqvarna Mobility Dealerships. Availability may vary from country to country. For all details on pricing and availability, please refer to your national Husqvarna Mobility subsidiary or importer.
