James Ott – G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing
“Going into the 2025 Progressive American Flat Track season, I couldn’t be happier to be riding for G&G Racing in the Mission AFT SuperTwins class. John and LJ have been great friends and supporters of mine for many years now and I feel we work very well together. With so much changing this year in the class I think it’s a great time to move up and start developing myself as a Twins rider. I’m also excited to be on the Yamaha MT-07 platform as it’s proven to be capable of running up front in the class and I see no reason why as a team we couldn’t do the same.”
Jim Roach – Yamaha Racing Department Manager
“Yamaha Racing is looking forward to the 10th year of our partnership with G&G Racing. With the addition of James Ott to the team, 2025 should be an exciting year.”
L.J. Gronek – Team Owner
“We are excited for James Ott to step up to the Mission AFT SuperTwins class for 2025. We have known James for many years and supported him as he moved up the ranks from amateur to professional AFT Singles presented by KICKER rider. Now, we are stoked to see him achieve his dream of being a Mission AFT SuperTwins rider. James has demonstrated a work ethic and desire to be a top level rider. Also, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Yamaha Racing for the 10th year. We could not have accomplished all we have, without their help. The Yamaha MT-07 is a very capable platform, with great power and delivery.”

Peters out of 2025 AX Series
Five-time and defending AMA Arenacross Champion Kyle Peters will not be on the starting line come January 3rd for round five of the championship, nor any further rounds in this year’s series.
During a slight error at the fourth round of the latest championship in Boise, Peters went a bit too long into the pocket of a landing. In a move all too familiar with most, the large G-out resulted in contact between his head and the handlebars and the aggressive motion let out a “pop.” Since then, Peters has faced numbness throughout his left side. Upon further evaluation by doctors, multiple displaced discs and hardware issues in the previously injured region have been found, and surgery is set to follow.
Kyle Peters – “Honestly, things could always be worse. While physically the experience I’ve had since Boise has been worrying, I’m glad to have some answers from doctors and a path moving forward. As for my racing career, this isn’t the end; it’s just another small detour. I will be back racing, pushing myself, and chasing the sixth title soon enough. Thank you to my family, team, sponsors, and fans for their support in the past, present, and future. I’ll be back.”
This prior injury from 2022, nearly ended Peters career as he faced burst fractures through C5 and C6 vertebrae, resulting in six vertebrae being fused from C4 to T1. However, he returned from this setback to win both the 2023 and 2024 renditions of the AMA Arenacross Championship.
Phoenix Racing Honda will also not attend the remainder of the 2025 Arenacross season as they continue to support Peters through his recovery process.
