Welcome to The Power of ONE — my semi-regular reminder that small things matter more than we think.
Every day we make a ton of decisions. Most of them feel routine. Normal. Forgettable.
But every once in a while, one of those small choices ends up changing everything.
Maybe it’s getting up a little earlier.
Maybe it’s sending the message.
Maybe it’s taking a different route.
Maybe it’s just saying yes… or no.
The interesting part? You almost never know in the moment which decision is “the one.”
I really believe that one moment, one word, or one action can create a ripple you didn’t see coming. You might not notice it right away. In fact, most of the time you won’t. But that doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
This series is just me sharing thoughts — things that have hit me, helped me, or made me stop and think. If something sparks for you, great. If it makes you smile or shift your perspective even a little, even better.
And if it resonates, please pass it along.
Because sometimes all it takes is one idea, at the right time, for the right person.
That’s the Power of ONE.
It’s been a while since I’ve written one of these. Not because I didn’t want to and not because I ran out of ideas, but because I think I just got in my own head.
I kept asking myself:
- What should I write about?
- What will people find valuable?
- What does LinkedIn “like” right now?
- Is this the right topic?
And the more I thought about it… the less I wrote.
The whole idea behind my Power of One series has always been simple: small, consistent action. Do one thing. Take one step. Keep moving. And yet I was stalled waiting for the perfect idea.
Then it hit me.
Who cares?
What if I just write about what I want to write about? The way I want to write it.
Without worrying about reach, impressions, or whether it fits some invisible algorithm.
Somewhere along the way, it becomes really easy to start creating for the platform instead of for yourself. You start shaping your thoughts around what might perform instead of what actually matters to you.
And that’s not why I started writing the Power of ONE series.
So this is me resetting. No strategy behind this post.
Just a reminder — mostly to myself — that it’s okay to create something simply because you feel like it.
If it resonates with you, that’s awesome. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. This one was for me. Who knows, maybe it’s the one that kicks me back into gear.
I guess we’ll see.
