THE ALL-ELECTRIC KTM SX-E 2.12 SETS ITS SIGHTS ON TALLER BEGINNERS
Slotting between the KTM SX-E 2 and KTM SX-E 3, the all-new KTM SX-E 2.12 provides taller, little riders with the ideal starting platform.
Like the KTM SX-E 2, the KTM SX-E 2.12 is designed and built around an extended version of the center tube aluminum extrusion frame concept, with a 12” front wheel replacing the KTM SX-E 2’s 10” front wheel, as well as extended suspension elements providing a taller stance.
Upfront, a WP Hydraulic Fork with 90 mm travel takes care of the bumps, while a preload-adjustable 34 mm hydraulic monoshock takes care of matters at the rear. The monoshock is mounted directly to the swingarm, offering 70 mm of travel, and is perfectly matched to the front forks in terms of exceptional balance and damping characteristics.
This results in a 66 mm seat height increase over the 500 mm maximum seat height on the KTM SX-E 2, as well as an improved ground clearance and overall wheel base, without affecting the overall weight at 29 kg.
Drive is provided by a lightweight, maintenance-free 1,8 kW HUB Motor powered by a water-sealed IP65 9.4 Ah, Lithium-ion power-tool-type battery, delivering a maximum of 50 Nm. Being devoid of any additional parts like chains or sprockets, this “HUB-Motor-Concept” keeps weight low and provides added safety in the event of a crash.
Being silent and easy to operate, with a lightweight construction, the KTM SX-E 2.12 is equally at home in the backyard or built-up park areas with strict noise restrictions.
Charging is taken care of by an external charger supplying up to 500 W that can be connected to any 110- or 230-volt socket, taking approximately 60 minutes to achieve a full 100% charge.
From a safety and usability standpoint, the KTM SX-E 2.12 is fitted with a roll-over sensor that cuts power in the event of a crash or tip-over. A wrist lanyard key also provides a direct connection between the riders and the kill switch, which stops the motor in the event of an uncontrollable riding scenario.
An illuminated multifunctional display located on the handlebar also makes keeping an eye on selected ride modes simple, with different colors indicating which ride mode is selected.
The KTM SX-E 2.12 once again showcases KTM’s commitment to the next generations of champions, providing young riders with the same level of top-quality materials and high-end components as the rest of the SX range.
The 2027 KTM SX-E 2.12 is now available at authorized KTM dealers. Availability may differ from country to country. For more news about the all-electric KTM Mini model range, visit KTM.com or your nearest authorized KTM dealer.

Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour: full-optional travel
Ducati presents the new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour. A model for Ducatisti who love limitless travel—in total comfort and safety—and see every departure as the start of a discovery. Designed to tackle long journeys from the first mile, the Multistrada V4 Grand Tour offers a comprehensive configuration and an exclusive, unmistakably Ducati identity, defined by a unique livery that blends elegance with sportiness.
Designed around the rider, it comes fully equipped with the accessories needed to cover long distances “first class.” These features are integrated into a dedicated package that enhances the bike’s overall quality, making every leg of the journey simpler, more comfortable, and more engaging.

Whatever the destination, the Multistrada V4 Grand Tour retains the character that distinguishes every Ducati: V4 engine performance, handling precision, and the thrill of tackling every curve. State-of-the-art assistance systems and technologies dedicated to visibility and vehicle control inspire confidence and peace of mind on the road, leaving room for what truly matters: experiencing the journey as an adventure of freedom, exploration and limitless discovery.
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is instantly recognizable thanks to its dedicated livery, rich in details such as the black finish on the handlebars, risers, and triple clamps, as well as the “Grand Tour” branding on the rims. It comes standard with a radar system featuring Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW)—functions that enhance safety and riding comfort on long-distance trips. Also standard for safety are the TPMS (which displays tire pressure on the dashboard), auxiliary LED lights, dynamic turn signals**, and a rear fog light; these features improve visibility and make the bike easier to spot at night or in fog and bad weather.
The techno polymer side cases, standard on the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, are integrated into the bike’s livery. With a combined capacity of 16 gallons, they let you carry everything you need, even on the longest journeys. The standard center stand makes handling the cases easier and safer, whether mounting and removing them or opening and closing them.
Standard heated grips and heated seats for both rider and passenger further enhance comfort on the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour. Additionally, the hands-free fuel cap simplifies refueling, so you can keep the bike key in your pocket at all times.
As with all motorcycles in the Multistrada V4 family, the Grand Tour features a phone-mirroring navigation system, turning the 6.5-inch TFT dashboard into a color, map-based navigator that also displays essential riding data.
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour features the Automatic Lowering Device, making the bike easier to handle at low speeds and at stops. The system automatically lowers the bike by up to 30 mm when speeds drop below 6 mph and returns it to riding height above 30 mph. Meanwhile, the Easy Lift function reduces the effort required to lift the bike off the side stand by opening the suspension hydraulics when the ignition is turned on.
Appearance
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour features dedicated graphics that are both elegant and dynamic. The bodywork livery is complemented by a black finish on the frame, swingarm, triple clamps, side cases, and handlebar. The rider and passenger seats feature special detailing.
Engine
The 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine delivers 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 91 ft-lb of torque at 9,000 rpm. Thanks to the Extended Cylinder Deactivation strategy, the rear cylinder bank is deactivated not only at idle when stationary but also under specific riding conditions; this helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 6% compared to the previous generation, without compromising the engine’s character or performance.
These figures are supported by sophisticated technical solutions, such as a counter-rotating crankshaft, which works against the wheels’ gyroscopic inertia. The result is smooth power delivery at low rpm, strong torque in the mid-range and high-power output at the top end.
Safety and Electronics
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour benefits from Ducati’s latest electronic advancements. The Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) estimates the forces acting on the vehicle by simulating inputs from numerous virtual sensors, thereby improving the effectiveness of the electronic controls and refining the ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control strategies.
The advanced Electronic Combined Braking System manages brake distribution between the front and rear to ensure optimal performance based on riding conditions and load. The rider can also customize the Engine Brake Control level by choosing from three different intervention settings.
During emergency braking, the Ducati Brake Light EVO also activates the turn signals, improving the vehicle’s visibility to traffic behind.
On the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, the inertial platform communicates continuously with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO system. With a new fork position sensor and predictive logic such as bump detection, the system adjusts suspension response in real time based on road surface conditions, improving both comfort and riding precision.
The Auto-leveling function automatically detects the motorcycle’s load and maintains a consistent stance across various usage configurations. Riders can also adjust suspension response while riding by using a dedicated control on the left handlebar switchgear.
Finally, smartphone mirroring capabilities—implemented via the Ducati Connect system—allow for simple, intuitive control of phone functions and music.

The new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour will be available at North American dealerships starting in February 2027 and start at $30,995, exclusively in the Grand Tour livery.

ProTaper Renews Multi-Year OE Handlebar Supply Agreement with KTM AG
ProTaper, a leader in motorcycle control components, today announced the renewal of its original equipment supply agreement with KTM AG, Europe’s leading producer of high-performance motorcycles.
Under the new multi-year agreement, ProTaper will continue supplying OE handlebars and ProTaper-branded handlebar pads for select KTM 250cc and 450cc off-road motorcycles. The handlebars and pads will be installed during KTM’s motorcycle production process, giving riders ProTaper components directly from the factory.
The renewed agreement continues the nearly 20-year OEM relationship between two companies with deep roots in motocross and off-road competition and reinforces ProTaper’s position as a leader in performance handlebar technology.
“We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with KTM AG,” said Bob Schuetz, President of Turn 14 Powersports. “This is a strong validation of ProTaper’s engineering, manufacturing quality and reputation among serious off-road riders. We’re proud that KTM’s top 250’s and 450’s will carry the ProTaper brand with them to purchasers around the world.”
ProTaper handlebars have long been recognized for combining strength, controlled flex and rider-focused ergonomics and are the choice of champion riders in all forms of off-road motorcycle racing.
The program will include both the ProTaper handlebar and matching ProTaper-branded bar pad, creating a complete, factory-installed control package with the distinctive ProTaper identity.
The multi-year renewal also represents an important continuation of ProTaper’s involvement at the original equipment level, where products must meet demanding requirements for consistency, durability and performance.
“OE partnerships provide an opportunity for us to work closely with leading motorcycle manufacturers and demonstrate what ProTaper engineering can deliver,” Schuetz added. “We look forward to supporting KTM and its riders throughout the term of this new agreement.”

2027 Ducati Desmo450 MX and 450 MX Factory: continuous evolution for Borgo Panigale’s motocross models
One year after the arrival of its first motocross bike, Ducati confirms its commitment to the market segment by continuing its development, which sees racing and production bikes grow in parallel. Feedback gathered during the first racing season has led to the introduction of an evolution of the Desmo450 MX, with the aim of further improving performance, ergonomics and robustness.
The 2027 model year introduces a series of targeted updates, including a new final drive ratio with a 51-tooth rear sprocket, redesigned gear and brake pedal tips for improved ergonomics, a larger fuel tank filler for faster refueling and new Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tires. In addition, for the first time, the Desmo450 MX range for the USA will receive a dedicated suspension updates including different triple clamps. The range also introduces a predictive maintenance system that, via the accessory Wi-Fi module, which adapts maintenance intervals to the actual use of the bike. The evolution is completed by a new livery, developed to strengthen its racing character and recognizability.

Desmo450 MX 2027
The Desmo450 MX represents the heart of the Ducati motocross project. Developed and refined through experience gained in racing competition, it was created to offer the best balance of power, lightness, and reliability.
Designed to meet the needs of professional riders and enthusiasts alike, the Desmo450 MX combines high performance with ease of riding. At the heart of the project is the Desmodromic engine, a unique solution in the segment, capable of delivering generous low- and mid-range torque and class-leading top-end acceleration. The aluminum frame, designed with a minimal number of welds to optimize rigidity and lightness, ensures stability, precision and immediate feeling in all conditions. Completing the package are cutting-edge electronics, including the world’s first patented Traction Control system dedicated to a motocross bike, capable of intervening in targeted and effective ways to prevent rear wheel spin.
The balance between performance, chassis, and electronics translates into a motorcycle capable of instilling immediate confidence in the rider, promoting effective riding in all conditions.

By analyzing motorcycle usage data, the system can adapt engine maintenance intervals based on actual riding conditions. This solution allows for more precise and effective maintenance planning, tailoring maintenance to actual use of the bike.
The result of ongoing development on the racetrack, the 2027 Desmo450 MX introduces a series of updates aimed at improving functionality, performance and ergonomics. The new larger 40 mm fuel filler makes refueling quicker and easier. The 51-tooth rear sprocket increases the torque available to the rear wheel, improving the bike’s responsiveness when exiting corners. The new gear shift and rear brake pedal tips improve ergonomics and facilitate foot movement during gear changes and braking. The package is completed by the new Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tires, chosen to offer maximum traction and performance on modern motocross tracks.
Several components have been updated and optimized to further increase reliability, robustness, and durability. Among the key improvements are new starter motor gear coupling tolerances, a water pump oil seal with revised geometry and Teflon coating, and a reinforced exhaust manifold in the silencer connection area. Several components subject to impact and stress have also been updated, such as the chain guide support, fork slider guards, and the front engine-to-frame brackets.
The dedicated U.S. suspension refinements result from extensive local-market feedback and testing across the United States, aimed at better accommodating North American tracks, terrain, and rider preferences.
At the front, the Desmo450 MX features a dedicated 22mm triple clamp offset, replacing the previous 20mm configuration. The front fork also receives a revised shim stack and oil level, plus a low-speed valve to improve chassis support and control.
At the rear, the shock features an increased spring rate, from 46 N/mm to 50 N/mm, along with a revised shim stack. Together, these changes provide increased support during jumps and landings while improving stability, precision, and chassis control on high-speed motocross tracks.
Developed directly from U.S. testing and rider feedback, these refinements give North American riders a more confidence-inspiring Desmo450 MX, with improved stability, precision, and overall control across a wider range of track conditions and riding styles.
The Desmo450 MX Model Year 2027 is finally recognizable by its new livery, featuring black logos that replace the previous white ones, giving it an even more racing and distinctive look.
