What does the new Polaris ACE 150 do to the Youth ATV market?
A couple of weeks ago, Polaris announced the newest addition to their line-up of UTVs. The Polaris ACE 150 EFI, is the industry’s only single-seat youth model with a protective cab frame and I can’t help but wonder what this will do to the youth ATV market.
The UTV, side by side market is experiencing exponential growth at the expense of ATVs.
Will this game-changing machine signal an end to Youth ATVs as we know them? The protective roll cage and speed limiting adjustments are certainly a plus for the safety conscious parent and the 150cc EFI motor, 6-in. of rear suspension travel, 9-in. of ground clearance, and large 22-in tires make this a very capable and potentially modified machine for the racer.
Now, I don’t think this one vehicle will eliminate youth ATVs but it is certainly something to watch.
As always the ideas expressed above are my own and I make no claims to the success or failure of them. They are suggestions to make you think and are simply my take on the current news of the day.
